Being single can be very difficult due to the dating that must be done to find that special person. Let’s face it, dating is work—it’s a lot of work! You have to decide who to date, who to call, who to trust and so on. These questions can cause a lot of uncertainty, which makes us live in the never-ending cycle of “up-and-down dating”! It’s like being in a wilderness with no sense of direction.

 

Taking a vacation (a Man~kation) from all the work that “wilderness” dating requires is exactly what we need to regroup and renew ourselves. So, when we do return to dating, we'll be stronger and wiser with a clear vision of God's purpose concerning this area of our lives.

 

God gave me the vision for this book to help my sisters in Christ get free from the “wilderness search” for a man. He said to me, “I want my daughters back!” Living in the chaotic wilderness separates us from God, because He is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). This disconnection from God definitely doesn’t allow us to reap the abundant life that Jesus promised (John 10:10).

 

There is a process to attain the abundant life and work that must be done on our part to receive the overflow from God, but we must be ready to change. Many people think that all they need to do is ask God for what they want, and like a genie He will make it appear. There are no short cuts with God; the process is necessary to build endurance, character, and your relationship with Him!

I challenge you to take each chapter of this book and ask yourself: How does this relate to my past or current experiences? And how can this information help me?

 

I must caution you that this book is not for the women who “social date” to have fun. It’s for the women that are serious about settling down and being ready for the special man God has for them! There’s nothing worse than getting something you’re not prepared for; you will be overwhelmed with the lack of wisdom it takes to keep it and end up losing it.

 

So, with that being said, this Man~kation is for the “serious vacationer”, not the overnighter or the weekender, but for the women that are willing to go the long distance (whatever it takes) to get prepared! The rewards at the end of this journey will be well worth the time and energy you have invested. The new you and your “Prince Charming” are waiting, so let the adventure begin!
